Karen L. Waters, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner, providing services at Phoenix Heart Center.

She is certified in ACLS and Fundamentals of Critical Care Management. She holds a place in the Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies.

She spent five years after receiving her nurse practitioner certification in a busy internal medicine office where she became experienced in all aspects of outpatient and medical management. She is very active in research and has co-authored several articles for numerous cardiology journals and publications.

Karen has mentored many nurse practitioner students over the years from ASU, University of Nebraska, Saint Louis University, and Duke University, where she held a clinical faculty position. Karen has been sought out by many of her peers and physician colleagues practicing in the Phoenix area for her expertise in cardiology and patient management.
