Ajay Mhatre, MD
Dr. Mhatre is a board-certified interventional cardiologist, specializing in acute, chronic heart diseases, peripheral artery disease, vascular medicine and endovascular intervention. He also specializes in limb salvage, treating patients with peripheral vascular problems who are at high risk of amputation.
Dr. Mhatre completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Fla., and his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark. Prior to joining Phoenix Heart Center, he completed an advanced coronary and endovascular intervention fellowship under program director, Dr. Richard Heuser.
Dr. Mhatre has published several papers and blogs and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and Duval County Medical Society.
